About The Band
The AutistiX are a unique rock band from London, UK, formed in 2010. What makes us unique? Our sound is unique, as well as having two band members with autism, Saul Zur-Szpiro (drums) and Jack Beaven-Duggan (electric guitar + backing vocals). They are joined by their talented mentor Jim Connelly (lead vocals) and by Jack's father John Duggan (electric guitar) and Saul's father Michael Zur-Szprio (harmonia).
Coming together as a band, ‘The AutistiX’, we are recognised for our musical talent and are proud to be musicians with autism. We showcase the potential of musicians with disabilities and the valuable contribution we have to make to society. We aim to increase the inclusion of musicians with disabilities, but we are not a ‘disability band’.
We have won over the hearts of music lovers from all walks of life. Performing at a wide variety of venues across the world, all while writing and recording new music. Our stage presence is lively, to say the least, super charged with witty banter, quick repartee, infectious energy - and fiery rock tracks.
Our music incorporates elements of alternative rock, pop rock and punk rock.

Saul is truly a shining star. Crowds always love seeing him in full performance mode, with such energy and rhythm. He was the reason The AutistiX formed as a band. He loves being in band and playing gigs as often as they can.
Electric Guitar, Backing Vocals
Jack plays the electric guitar and acoustic guitar, as well as sing backing vocals. He was in The AutistiX from very early on and looks forward to band rehearsals and performances. He plays an instrumental role in the success and musical progression of the band.
As Lead Singer, Jim takes on quite a lot of responsibility, from fine-tuning the musical arrangements to assisting other bandmates with perfecting their performances.
John is Jack’s dad and also a guitarist in the The AutistiX. His musical style is rough and ready and he enjoys performing alongside his talented son.
Michael is not Bob Dylan though he’d like to be. He used to have hair and glasses just like him (sadly all gone now!) He plays the harmonica. He likes being in the band to back up his son Saul.
Callum helps Saul and the band with structure and rehearsals. Callum play drums and occasionally piano. He teaches Saul to play the drums in 1:1 lessons.
Susan is the "band mummy" and formed the band as a way to progress her son Saul's musical talents. Her hard work and determination has made the band what it is today.
