An indie rock band brought together around three young men with Autism and other disabilities. The six of us write original and evocative songs and create our own, vital and unique sound. Listen in, rock out!
After the summer holiday, The AutistiX were keen to get together for our first gig after the break - our live performance at the private film premiere of 'I Used To Be Famous' made by Superplex Pictures. The screenings and the gig were held at a great music venue in the city, Richmix. There are two lead characters: a washed up ex boy band musician (Vince) and a musician with autism who is a drummer (Stevie). The drummer in the film was inspired by our own drummer Saul. He also had a cameo role in the film! The excited audience were treated to three films, 'Just Desserts' made by Superplex, then our minidoc 'Autism Rocks- The AutistiX' and then 'I Used To Be Famous'. Our minidoc was very well received - people clapped so loudly! The after the 3 films and the Q and A about 'I Used To Be Famous' we performed for the guests. As well our other songs we performed our newwest song 'My Future Life' for the first time. It sounds great!
